The Project 28 Charter wins corporate & brand campaign of the year
25 February 2026
The Project 28 Charter campaign has been awarded Corporate & Brand Campaign of the Year at the 2026 PRCA Public Affairs Awards, one of the UK’s most respected platforms for recognising excellence in public affairs and strategic campaigning.
The award recognises campaigns that demonstrate clear strategic impact, influence industry and policy debate, and deliver meaningful change. Judges highlighted The Project 28 Charter’s success in shaping conversations across the property sector, bringing together leading voices from estate agency, conveyancing and lending to push for faster, more certain and more transparent transactions.
The Project 28 Charter is a major cross‑industry initiative addressing long‑standing inefficiencies in the home‑moving process in England and Wales, with a clear ambition to reduce the time from sale agreed to exchange from an average of 112 days to just 28.
At its core, the Charter sets out a clear set of shared commitments focused on starting the transaction earlier, making relevant property information available upfront, and using secure, digital data to reduce duplication and uncertainty. The commitments also promote consistent best practice and stronger collaboration across the transaction chain.
The Charter is the product of unprecedented collaboration across the property industry, uniting estate agents, conveyancers, mortgage lenders, brokers and technology partners. Collectively, these organisations support transactions linked to more than £600bn of mortgage assets each year, bring over half of all property listings to market, and process more than one million search and environmental reports annually – representing change at real scale.
This recognition comes at a pivotal moment for The Project 28 Charter as it enters its next phase, transitioning into a formal membership body and expanding engagement across the industry. The award provides a strong platform to build on progress to date and continue driving positive change across the sector.
